There are words that only make sense when you know where they come from. In Peñafiel, the luceras are part of the landscape of the hill. They are those chimneys that rise above the underground cellars, letting the bowels of the earth breathe. For generations, through them the cellars where wine has been made and stored have breathed.
This singular house, La Lucera, is located in the plaza of Peñafiel; that means the plaza is not visited, it is lived. It opens its door to becoming part, for a few days, of the life of this singular town.
Where are we?
Inside La Lucera there are four houses: Lucera Verde, Lucera Roja, Lucera Azul and Lucera Negra. Each one has its own personality, but all four share something: the intention of preserving the essence of a village house and making it habitable again, with calm, with light and with everything that makes one want to stay.
Materials, textures, wood, corners, windows. Nothing is designed to draw attention. Everything is designed to feel good. They are not four identical houses painted in different colours. They are four different ways of feeling at home.
