The Museum of Human Evolution (MEH), inaugurated in 2010 in the heart of Burgos, is a global benchmark in the dissemination of prehistory and the evolution of our species. Designed by architect Juan Navarro Baldeweg, its imposing glass building with modern lines acts as a huge viewpoint and houses the most extraordinary findings from the nearby Atapuerca site, declared a World Heritage Site. In its spacious and interactive galleries, visitors can admire original fossils unique in the world, such as the famous "Miguelón" skull (Homo heidelbergensis) or the remains of Homo antecessor, the oldest hominid species in Europe. Beyond exhibiting valuable biological and archaeological remains, the museum invites deep reflection on who we are and where we come from, combining technology, science, and hyper-realistic recreations that turn the visit into a fascinating journey to the origins of humanity.
