The Stock Exchange Palace is a neoclassical style building. Its construction began in 1842 by the architect Joaquim da Costa Lima as the headquarters of the Commercial Association of Porto and is located on Rua Ferreira Borges next to the Church of Saint Francis (São Francisco), in the historic center of the city, which together with several monuments is classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
